Full-Time HVAC Service Technician
New Holland / Manheim, PA
JM Lapp is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who knows the trade, takes pride in doing things right, and enjoys serving people well.
This is not a role for someone who needs to be taught the basics.
We’re looking for a technician with at least 5 years of residential HVAC service experience who can walk into a home, diagnose the problem, communicate clearly, and make sound recommendations.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems.
- Work on furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, boilers, and related controls.
- Perform seasonal maintenance and system cleanings.
- Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, refrigeration, and combustion issues.
- Explain findings and options clearly to homeowners.
- Help customers decide when it makes sense to maintain, repair, or replace.
- Confidently present our JM Lapp Home Protection Plan as part of the customer conversation.
- Build relationships with customers so they call us first when they need service.
- Document your work and leave the home better than you found it.
- Support and help develop less experienced technicians when opportunities arise.

How We Serve Our Customers
We believe great service should feel personal, confident, and pressure-free.
Our technicians are expected to engage customers, ask good questions, explain what they see, and help homeowners understand their options.
That includes introducing the JM Lapp Home Protection Plan when appropriate. It is designed to create real customer value through ongoing care, priority scheduling, regular maintenance, and peace of mind.
No Pressure. Ever.
We want our technicians to understand it well enough to present it confidently and let the value speak for itself.
